Token usage
How tokens are used
Every time you generate an image or short video clip, a small number of tokens is deducted from your balance. The exact amount depends on the settings you choose and the underlying OpenAI model pricing.
- Each generation consumes tokens – simple prompts with standard settings use fewer.
- Higher resolutions, longer clips or advanced options can use more tokens.

Pricing and tokens FAQ
Do you offer free usage or trial credits?
No. To keep pricing simple and predictable, Stargen does not offer free tiers or trial credits. You need to register and top up tokens before using any tools.
Which currency do you use for billing?
All billing is processed in GBP. For convenience we show an estimated EUR amount at checkout; your bank or provider may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
Do my tokens ever expire?
Tokens do not have a short, fixed expiry date. However, we may close very old, inactive accounts under our Terms of Service after prior notice.
Can I change my pack or buy a different one later?
You are never locked into a subscription. You can buy any pack at any time – each purchase simply adds more tokens to your balance.
How can I see exactly how many tokens each generation uses?
Your dashboard shows token usage for each generation, and the Token Calculator helps you estimate costs before you generate.
